Tuesday. Nothing can be more useful to a man than a determination not to be hurried. I have not succeeded if I have an antagonist who fails. It must be humanity’s success. Martes.
Nada puede ser más útil a un hombre que la determinación a no verse
apresurado. Yo no he tenido éxito si tengo un antagonista que fracasa.
Debe ser el éxito de la humanidad. Yo no puedo pensar ni pronunciar mi
pensamiento a menos que tenga infinito espacio. La bóveda celeste no es
demasiado alta, el mar no es demasiado profundo, para aquel que
despliegue un pensamiento grande. Me debe alimentar a mí, y me debe
calentar y vestir. Debe ser un entretenimiento al que es invitada mi
naturaleza entera. Debo saber que los dioses serán mis huéspedes
compañeros. No podemos hacerlo bien sin todos nuestros vicios, ellos son
la carretera de nuestra virtud.
